October 2015 – Thirteen metrics including student-teacher ratios, test scores, and dropout rates were analyzed by WalletHub to compare the quality of education in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. School system scores were compounded with school safety scores to rank each state when it comes to education.

Top four states for education:
1. Massachusetts
2. Colorado
3. New Jersey
4. Wisconsin

Bottom four states for education:
51. Alaska
50. District of Columbia
49. Nevada
48. Arizona
