October 2015 – In light of the recent SCOTUS decision regarding same-sex marriage, two North Carolina pastors have initiated a new movement encouraging Christians to take a stronger stand for traditional Christian beliefs and values. To demonstrate this call to action, the pastors are encouraging churches specifically to fly the Christian flag above the American flag and to post pictures of this on social media using the hashtag #GodBeforeGovernment.
The pastors are striving to remind people that a Christian’s allegiance to God is greater than that to his or her country, saying it is “just another way of saying #OneNationUnderGod.” For more information, you can visit their newly launched website at godbeforegovernment.org.
