February 2017 – Data based on state health inspections and compiled by Americans United for Life highlights 754 violations and deficiencies in health and safety at abortion clinics over the past eight years. The 2016 report “Unsafe: How the Public Health Crisis in America’s Abortion Clinics Endangers Women” details abortion clinic crimes and negligence occurring between 2008 and 2016 in 32 states.
Furthermore, the study reports at least 65 abortion providers who are chronic offenders with violations, at least 13 who failed to report or implement procedures to protect against sexual abuse, and over 24 who failed to comply with basic laws.
